I write long letters, I'm sorry. At least I've organized it a bit?
= ART REQUESTS =
I only have a few art requests, so I've separated them out here. I'm very easy to please with Dragon Age fanart. I like art of all ratings, from tame and chaste to pure smut. My kinks for smutty art include partially clothed sex, gloves, and bondage. DNW AUs, weirdly shiny skin, or gore.
1. Maevaris/Thorold: I just want to see them together; anything would make me happy. Mae sitting in Thorold's lap, perhaps? A portrait of them back to back? I default to fluffy requests for this pairing, but sad or smutty are also good.
2. Male Hawke/Varric: I'd welcome anything, as long as it's unambiguously shippy. Fluff, humor, smut all welcome. In smutty art, I prefer if Varric tops. Nothing sad for these two, please.
3. Original Abusive Templars/Female Hawke: I'm looking for noncon smut, nothing less. Default appearance preferred for Female Hawke. See the fic request for more details.
4. Original Qunari Characters/Female Hawke: ditto

Flawed characters are my favorite kind of character. I don't think any character I requested is irredeemably, unenjoyably awful (or I wouldn't have requested them), but none of them are perfectly functional angels in all respects (and if they were, I definitely wouldn't have requested them). Bring on the conflict, the angst... and, when possible, the happy endings. I'm a wimp who would prefer not to read fic featuring non-canon main character death. Relatedly, please don't write me a story that focus on grief or mourning, canon or otherwise.
All ratings are welcome. If you want to write smut (or something else you feel deserves an explicit rating), go ahead. When it comes to smut, my only serious squicks are genderplay, ageplay, gore, snuff, or Tranquility. I am down with dubcon for any of my requests, and noncon for a few of them. No asexual headcanons, please. If you don't want to write about sex, you can avoid bringing the subject up.
I love the whole spectrum that shipfic encompasses, from iddy, clichéd romance tropes to the kind of fic that could practically be called a gen character interaction study. I enjoy fic that zooms in close on the pairing and only the pairing, but I also enjoy when shipfic includes the other people and non-romantic relationships in the main characters' lives. When it comes to romantic relationships, however, please include only the requested pairings and no others. The only open relationships or poly arrangements I'm open to are Vivienne/Bastien or Gerav/Varric/Bianca. No plots that revolve around infidelity or breakups, please. I am also not interested in reading about children or non-canon pregnancies.
Except for the two backstory ships (Maevaris/Thorold and Gerav/Varric), I'd prefer fic be set some time between the start of Origins and the end of Trespasser, and in the Thedas we know and love. Occasionally I find Modern Thedas fic hits the spot, but no other kind of AUs, please. No Earth settings, no omegaverse, no genderswap, etc.
Feel free to mention the homophobia in Tevinter or dwarven society, but I don't want to hear about any homophobia in southern Thedas. Hell, if you want to headcanon that same-sex marriage is recognized in southern Thedasso that you can write me accidental marriage and marriages of convenience, be my guest. Please no internalized homophobia from any of the requested human or elven characters.

Fic tropes I enjoy include (but are by no means limited to) h/c, huddling for warmth, bed sharing, undercover as a couple, undercover as master/slave, accidental marriage, marriage of convenience, sex pollen, fuck or die, 5+1 things, bets, drinking games... I'm not usually into AUs, but I'd be open to a Modern Thedas AU for this pairing. Basically, any way you can think of to get these two together, I'll love. (However, please do not vilify Bianca Davri in your story.)
2. Gerav/Varric Tethras
According to one version of the story, Varric met Gerav when he'd heard about the repeating crossbow Gerav was trying to make for the Carta. Supposedly Varric took one of Gerav's nonfunctional prototypes to a young smith named Bianca Davri for her to improve upon, and they never told Gerav why that prototype was the only one that worked. But that's only one version of the story. Varric has half a dozen stories about the origins of Bianca-the-crossbow, and I doubt any of them are the full truth.
If Varric's account of the events of Legacy aren't yet more lies, Gerav died carrying a letter from Varric, and the only other thing he had worth looting was a ring only Varric can wear. That intrigues me. I'm not usually into tragedies, but as a Varric fan, this one is irresistible. I'd love to hear more about their meeting and the times they had together. How much of what we think we know is true, and how much of it was fabricated by Varric? What exactly were Gerav and Varric to each other?
The timeline is up to you. However, I don't want to read about Varric cheating on Bianca Davri with Gerav or vice versa, nor do I want Varric breaking up with one of them because he wants to get with the other one. That's not a kind of drama I enjoy. If you write Varric involved with both Gerav and Bianca at the same time, please do it only as part of a Gerav/Varric/Bianca OT3. No Bianca-bashing, please.

What happens when two politically and magically powerful women from very different societies who have fought their way to the top meet? Verbal sparring in the Winter Palace? Magical sparring in the courtyards of Skyhold? Flirting at the spa? Sex on the Sunburst Throne?
(Note: I don't want to read about Mae experiencing dysphoria nor about her partners having a problem with her being trans. Please no major focus on transphobia.)

* Apostate Hawke (or a Hawke who has been concealing her apostate sister) has finally been caught red-handed by the Templars, and they are making an example of her. (Templars of either or both genders welcome. Named Templar characters welcome.)
* When Hawke fails to turn over the Tome/Isabela, the Arishok sentences her to an unusual punishment.
5. Anora Mac Tir/Female Aeducan
I can imagine dozens of different takes on this pairing, and I like them all. Aeducan could be shrewd or gullible, kindhearted or cut-throat, honest or two-faced, stern or soft-spoken, etc., etc. Whatever way you interpret this pairing, I'm more interested in how the relationship or rendezvous began than in observing an already established relationship.
A few ideas:
* Perhaps Aeducan admires Queen Anora's deviousness, as a former cut-throat noble herself, and together they form an unstoppable team that turns romantic.
* Perhaps Aeducan has persuaded the Queen that marriage to the sister of the King of Orzammar would be more useful than marrying someone who could sire an heir.
* Perhaps Anora shows up at Fort Drakon herself to rescue the Warden -- or to taunt her.
* Perhaps Queen Anora vacations in Amaranthine, to the delight (or dismay) of the Warden-Commander.
* Perhaps Alistair sits on the throne, and Aeducan visits the defeated former queen in prison.
* Perhaps Alistair was supposed to be sole king but died fighting the archdemon, and now Aeducan has to work with the woman she previously helped dethrone.
6. Dorian Pavus/Fenris
There is no way these two would trust each other the first time they met. They are both prickly as fuck and proud, and Dorian is just about everything Fenris hates. They both ran away from abuse in Tevinter, but Dorian has a very different and much rosier view of his home country, to say the least.
If they can get past that initial dislike of each other, I think they'd get along splendidly, but getting past first impressions and early missteps would be no small hurdle. I am all about watching them navigate that thorny maze. I'd prefer a happy or at least hopeful ending for them.
7. Anders/Morrigan
I'd love to see these two arrogant mages trying to one-up each other over who can be more bitter about their crappy upbringing. ^_^
There are many different opportunities for this pairing to meet. The one that appeals to me most is Anders on the run after DA2 bumping into Morrigan, after she has installed herself in the Orlesian court or with the Inquisition. At that point in time, Morrigan is just about the only mage in southern Thedas who I don't think would either revile or idolize Anders for his actions. (That includes Anders himself, who I suspect is doing quite a bit of both. Anders-Justice didn't seem terribly stable by the end of DA2.) I think she might find him intriguing or find herself uncomfortably sympathetic to his possessed state, given her own fears of being bodyjacked. Maybe he could persuade her to hide him, or maybe she would take him in as a research project on removing possession and/or as potential political leverage.
Alternatively, what if they stumbled across each other in Kirkwall and bonded awkwardly over having known the Warden? (Assuming they did, of course. If the HoF died killing the archdemon, the only person they have in common could be Oghren...)

The magister and the dwarf. We don't know a whole lot about Mae let alone about her dwarven husband (is his last name even Tethras? Was he exiled to the surface after Andvar's crime, or is he a member of Ambassadoria in good standing?). How did they meet? How did they fall in love? What was a day in their life together like?
(Note: I don't want to read about Mae experiencing dysphoria nor about her partners having a problem with her being trans. Please no transphobia as a major story element.)
